| Database descriptionDatabase descirption | PMD is a collections of literature data related to natural and artificial mutants for all kinds of proteins except members of the globin and immunoglobulin families. PMD treats an article as one entry, and each entry contains data about one or more protein mutants. This database allows users to search articles by keywords or amino acid sequences using BLAST. Each entry in search results shows details of the article (authors, journal, MEDLINE link, etc) and mutation (the position of amino acid substitution, insertion or deletion, kind of mutations, functional or structural features, etc). The authors of articles in academic journals can submit protein mutant data to PMD. | ||||||||
