| Database descriptionDatabase descirption | NONCODE is a comprehensive database of noncoding RNAs, excluding tRNAs and rRNAs, from an extensive number of biological organisms, from eukaryotes to viroids. This repository contains 411,554 sequences from 1,239 organisms of which 73,372 are lncRNAs. Annotated information on the expression profiles of 27,408 lncRNAs and the potential functions of 1,635 lncRNAs is included. When the database was created, the references were all manually consulted to confirm the sequences. A new classification system is introduced, based on the cellular process in which the sequence takes part. A keyword search option and Blast search option is available. | ||||||||||||
